This was so heartbreaking that I cried, and now I feel like a sniveling idiot. I don't know why something so beautiful makes me feel so bitter, but I don't think I want to dwell on it. Thanks for a great story, Alla~!
That's totally awesome by the way. I really love how well it flows and the memories it evokes. ^_^ It makes me think of my dad's house and all the wonderful memories I have of that place.
Darn it. I didn't have time the other day to point that out and now you've gone and fixed it. :p Anyway, very nicely done. That whole thing has so much emotion to it. I enjoyed reading it. ^_^
I seriously almost cried when reading this. I don't know, perhaps I'm feelig a little mopey or something. Then again, it could be that it makes me think about what it would have been like if your family had to move out of our home last summer. I had been born into the house so I really couldn't imagine living anywhere else.
It flows so well and is simply loaded with emotion. I wish I could right so wonderfully^^
I do like how we have ended up doing opposite sides of the house prompt. Yours has a really lovely touch, I loved the way he moved through the memories of each other rooms as well as the garden. Really excellent work. Thanks for the tips for mine as well ~ Bows ~ I am always looking to improve ^_^

Loved it. The description was great and I could picture the front of the house and all the rooms with ease. The last half was my favourite because you could almost feel what the narrator is feeling as he walks himself through his memories.
These are the exact feelings we all went through when we were told we'd need to move out of our home of 20 years. Simply the thought of it was deeply painful. We managed to not have to move, but it still disturbs me sometimes when I think of how close we came.
Very nicely done. I felt every nuance of emotion. When did you originally write this, if you don't mind my asking? Was it for a class, or on a whim? Lovely work, whatever the reason.

Loved this. I feel like I'm experiencing all the narrator's memories, and not once was that feeling broken. Pretty impressive. (And I was looking hard, mind. :P)
I'll probably feel this way about my home once I finally move out. You stay in a place for so long, and all its quirks make it seem like a real person, you know?

Wow. It really doesn't feel like that was something written in one afternoon. You really did do an amazing job.

@TwistedCyberChick:
I started at 1:30-ish this afternoon after mulling the prompt over since Sunday, and finished about quarter to five.
I was rather surprised, actually.

Just found a mistake near the end. The first time I introduce the realtor I call her a man. After that I call her a woman.
Darn it. =P

Very nice Mr. Morphy. You can almost imagine the life that place once had and someday will again.
