I still stand by the notion that the modern mentality is absolutely hurting the industry - after this week, perhaps it's not killing it, but it's still hurting it - and it's gonna take work from all sides, industry and consumer, to really fix the problem sooner than later. But yeah, it definitely sounds like there've been better "State of the Industry" panels before. Ah well . . .

I wish the management of anime companies would wake up and realize that there are ways of keeping their business and supplying the market that fansubs has established, while not having to lose a profit over it. Instead of thinking of Gonzo as a special case, they should follow their example. I'd be amused to hear you cut this lady's argument to bits.
