This is so true! I am not familair with as many anime as most ppl, but I'm still delited to be here, and the ppl are so nice! It's truly a wonderful site.
nice ^^ - come to think of it, I think my 180 turn from anime hater to otaku began roughly the same time you said your formal introduction began - about 7 or 8 years ago, with one of the shows you mentioned - Rurouni kenshin - and i still love it Watsuki (the artist) being one of my heroes art wise, lol
I honestly wasn't ahppy at all with theOtaku's version V in a lot of ways, but now that I've accepted it for what it is, and made a fresh start, it isn't so bad ^^

I've seen it change and mourned the jukebox, but I look forward to all the updates and improvements. I have decided to stick with this site through all its many changes and just have fun!

This was cool! I've always liked reading into little excerpts of people's lives and how they view various matters. Interesting and well written.
