I also thought of Death Note when I watched archives about Ninoy and Ferdie.. Anyway, I suggest you make a video clip or something about this essay on Youtube or other websites... I am glad I am not alone in this idea and I like your essay!
That was amazingly well written! It's kinda scary lol.I have to say 1 thing though,I believe both deserved what they got cause they killed and ruined so many lives.
Wow. This was an amazing essay; not only was every point supported by facts, but they were valid, detailed, and easy to understand. I've actually never really looked into Filipino history, but I must say, it is a bit scary how the two are similar. I will say this is one of the best essays I've read not only on this site, but in general. My hat is tipped to you.

I'm very glad I found the time to read this.
Indeed, I'd never heard of Ferdie before now. Very engaging and informational article, here. And you make the connection very clearly. A classic battle over whether the ends justify the means. Granted, it DID spoil me for Death Note a bit. xD
I really hope that other people aren't intimidated by the 7 pages and decide to read.
Now I realize it will really take a long time. And I thought the only factors to worry were your sore throat and the Sakura-con documenting. Anyway, glad to know you liked the essay. And for the record, you're not the only one who said that this essay was "crazy".
I always enjoy when you do these write-ups involving Filipino culture/politics/issues. It's definitely stuff most of us here never hear about, and bringing it up in this way makes it relevant enough to our interests that we'll give it a go. I have a feeling almost everyone at the site will have never heard of Ferdinand Marcos, and yet after reading this it's like we wish we had.
VERY good essay! This is something I hope future writers pay attention to as an example.
Hehe . . . now the question is, how long will it take before I clear out the Fan Words enough to publish this?

Wow, I have never read Death Note but you presented your reasonings in a very understandable way for even a non-reader. This was great!
