I admit I'm biased, as the 2011 version is supposed to be closer to the manga, kinda like FMA and FMA Brotherhood (read reviews and stuff on this and heard from other people about it but never seen the series, so I can't speak on this one). But I do hope you like the classic anime, as well. ^-^
I was introduced to the 2011 HunterXHunter (am currently watching ep 77 dub) but plan to watch the first version. This post just may have bumped it higher up on my "to-watch" list =}"
