It amuses me seeing all the people commenting that he should have given the victim a heart attack. Death Notes aren't real guys. What would he have done? Jumped on an old man and hoped he scared him into a heart attack? Hoping they don't blame the manga for this, it's quite a shame.
Is it messed up that we are more worried about the misspelling then we are about the deaths? heh. I just hope they don't blame the anime/manga for this. I mean, what kind of retard does that, and then LABELS it? He either hates anime, or is just retarded.
Spelling Desu wrong and killing someone is just horrible.
What happened to Anime inspiring people to do things? Like make neat costumes to show to people are social conventions? Or to become the greatest Martial Artist in the world? Or to figure out a way to be more charming for that special someone?
For Serious, why you do? Wat do to you?
Sun, I am disappoint, only 4kids anime til you do 64 good deeds...
Why am I talking to the culprits here again?

Holy poo. I am one of the types of girl find these types of things funny, so as you can expect I am laughing. BUT, seriously? Saying that you are Kira is a little over the top when it comes to this. You can't put yourself on the same level as Light. v_v
It fails. (note that I am not an obsessed fan girl when it comes to mass murderers)

That's... So stupid. I can't understand why people can kill with so stupid purpose... Since when life is a game, seriously ? (yeah, I don't play violent video games for that reason, I'm childlish :p)
They're insane... I'm just speechless about that... =__=
Hey moron who killed people, besides being psychotic, you misspelled the Japanese word; it's 'desu'. If you're going to rip off something for your own idiotic purposes, at least get the details right.
So this really was a murder case. Also, it's nice to hear that the police never gave up on this case and finally gave it a resolution, even if it took three years. I do hope this can finally let the victim's soul rest in peace.
And now that we know that it's a murder case, I hope some people won't blame manga for what happened. Based on the statements made by the police, the only thing manga-related to this incident is the notes. Manga was never involved in the actual murder.
Wasn't the whole point of Death Note to show what a megalomaniacal ass Light was and how you should never, ever emulate him? Or maybe not the whole point, but it seems like that was a recurring theme or something.
Anyway, I'm a bit curious as to how one would define a charge such as "failing to intervene". I can understand accusing this other party of being a conspirator, but I can only really think of two possible qualifiers;
1: Failed to intervene in the planning stages, where he might not have noticed their plotting or felt too threatened by the conspirators.
2: Failed to intervene during the act, and quite frankly who in their right mind would run up to three people brutally murdering someone and try to make them stop? There's a very real possibility in that case that you might draw the attention of one or more of the violent criminals in question. Unless this means he didn't call the police when he saw it, but that's a bit of a shaky accusation as well.
From this report, it just kind of sounds like the guy was just living with the wrong people.

There is no need for a Kira in the world.
We only need L.

Apparently the people who did this are totally nuts and retarded to boot.
I don't think they saw the whole DN serise ether, here is why:
1)Light would have left a coded note or none at all.
2)Would've gave the victim a heart attack.
3)L would have caught them sooner
Anybody else want to add to this?

Well, it's not as disturbing as a man marrying a body pillow shaped like his favorite anime character. o_0
Nah. It's bad.
Always wondered when the idiot(s) would be caught.

Holy cow! Did not expect to hear about this story any time ever again.
And just think, we were all still here when the original story broke. That's wild . . . guess we'll hear more about this sooner or later again.
Nifty.
