I've heard plenty of stories about the 3D bothering people's eyes and honsetly, it doesn't deter me. Besides the 3D, there are plenty of other features. Motion control, improved download store, improved graphics, etc etc. Plus I just have to have KH3D, when it comes out!
I think even if there was no 3d on the 3ds i would still buy it simply cuz of the graphical improvement, its graphics are in between wii and 360, if you look at resident evil mercenaries for the 3ds, or even kid icarus:uprising that's some pretty amazing graphics, especially for a handheld. But i wouldn't buy a handheld based off of graphics alone, other wise i'd get a psp2. Nintendo always had good gameplay, but now it has good graphics with that gameplay. Combineing those two things alone it shows promise.'Ocarina of time' is teh cherry on top of this cake. In all honesty the mass majora of all gaming was starting to disappoint me and i really wasn;t playing as much games anymore, but seeing the line up for the 3ds has breathed back that gaming life into me. There is alot too look forward to for the 3ds, and its only just the beginning.
p.s. My ds is so old it tries to be new XD sometimes i have to reput in all my info, name, the date and time, just like when you first get it XD

I'm glad it's not just me who has trouble with 3D effects...O.o; I probably won't buy it anymore...there are other things I'd really want to buy with my money and I don't want to spend so much on it. It'll probably have another version since the DS did, and I just feel like it's a waste of money when you buy something and then another, slightly better version of the same thing comes out...>.> Makes me not want to buy some of the latest technology because I don't find it worth anything to buy new versions of things if things aren't changed THAT much, but little problems have been fixed.
I need to find somewhere with a demo version... Huurrrmm... I'll be sticking with my DSlite for now anyways. I don't want to shell out more money on games just yet ^^
Sounds awesome! I totally want one, but like you said, the price makes me uncomfortable. We'll see. I hope I can save some dough for it. Thanks for the article review!

LOL kumichou. You thought images would pop out of the screen on the 3DS? Videos had already shown that the images do not pop out but that the landscapes and visuals do show 3D visuals once you turn them around and such owo ~
.. LOL -pats your poor eyes- :V
I would love to buy it but I don't know ~ XD I would love to upgrade however as long as all of my games could play successfully on it.
Oooh that mini game with the photo of yourself fighting tiny villains sounds awesommeeee 8'D LOL
Maybe I shall wait too ~ |3 It sounds cool anyway though.

3D has always bothered my eyes, the price scares me, and now I'm thinking I should also wait for the next version before I purchase a 3DS...but gosh darn it, I couldn't keep myself from pre-ordering it last month! The idea of an Ocarina of Time remake won me over when I found out last year. Maybe I'm weak, but I told myself "OMG if I don't get this then I'll never have the chance to have Ocarina of Time on a hand-held system ever again!" To be honest, I'm not sure how I'll like the 3DS after reading this and considering everything...but I've already pre-ordered it (for $100 yikes!) and I'm sticking by it.
Oh I've seen these in Target, although I'm not sure it was for sale. Personally I think its really expensive... I don't think it's worth buying, but if you got the money and want it then go for it.
I'll be a day 1 adopter. To be honest, I'm not especially interested in the 3D imagery. It's a nice quirk, to be sure, but it's not at all a deciding factor. My DSi's shoulder buttons are getting clogged and it's getting harder and harder to fix them. On top of that, the games receive a massive technological upgrade and I love the idea of a Gameboy-centric Virtual Console.
The biggest pull for me is the Ace Attorney/Professor Layton crossover that's coming out for the system sometime in the future. Buying the console now means I won't have to shell out a ton of money at once later. In the end, I'll probably just turn off the 3D most of the time anyway. I already know how the DS works, so that's what I'm paying for. It's just prettier now.

oh wow, the ocarina of time IN 3D! XD
It must have been a lot of fun playing the demo. Disappointing though that your eyes felt strained. I'd be interested to try the demo, and see the magic for myself.

@Adam:
ohh, i see.
your criticism makes a lot of sense, 3d makes me a little nervous.
well, in my opinion, the ds is wonderful and didn't really need improvement, but i always hate change, lol.
(if it were up to me, we would all still be playing atari or something)

Na, I don't think it's a bad product, nor do I think it'll flop. I'm just saying it's a bit rough and pricey.

I'm super jelly. I really want to demo it.
I was wondering how the 3D aspect worked overall.
