I think it's one of those cases where you only really can tell after you're told, since, normally, you wouldn't even look that closely.
I find this to be really odd, to say the least.

Almost, but it's still easy to tell it's unreal due to it looking unnatural at times. Reminds me of this one clip where they almost had it spot on perfect.

I remember when I first saw her I was like 'she looks like a generic AKB48 member'...and she IS! :D I knew she had Tomomi's nose and Aa-chan's eyes the moment I saw her! But she still looks so real! TT^TT

I saw this on Yahoo and didn't even have to click the article to know that this was the case. When the link said something like "It's not what she seems" I instantly knew she was CG. You can't fool me anymore Japan xD

But going back to the topic at hand...I can't help but find this extremely creepy. Ominous, even. I'd rather not even think of a day when musicians will be physically replaced by "perfect" entities such as this because that's "what the public wants to see."

Then again, I could be just exaggerating things.

Though if you watch as they put the features on, Aimi becomes more and more plastic looking. I remember seeing this on my Yahoo news ticker (of all places) and being creeped out by the lips.

Wow, they sure put a lot of work for a computer animated singer. Which is, actually interesting. :)
I have seen using CG to produce this quality pictures, but videos is definitely impressive.^^
