It great to see the show come back. I've been passing the time by listening to comedians on pandora.
I'm sure the pool of caption battle winners would be bigger if only more people watched the Daily show and the Colbert Report. I think that political awareness, a senes for a little wink wink nudge nudge, and a healthy dose of irony make for a sharper generation and funnier captions.
It felt like a month already since your last podcast. And here I thought it was the end of the podcasts. But considering the lack of stuff to talk about, maybe a monthly podcast (or at least the biweekly podcast that you mentioned in the past) isn't such a bad idea.
So manga books are getting discounted in the US. I'm curious, though. How much do those discounted Tokyopop manga books cost there? We have a book store here that sells tons of trade books for cheap prices, and Tokyopop manga is being sold here for around $3. At one point, some of these books were getting sold for around $1.50. Is that the same there in the US?
Thanks for the comment. The purpose of the show is to talk about the stuff posted on the site, so if you think we should talk about Anime anniversaries, then submit them as articles.
Hi I enjoy listening to the Otaku podcast I have been listening to it for 3 years now and really enjoy the opening music, but sometimes the song choice is not good like I hate the hard rocking music but I like the other music openings. There should be more anime related news on this podcast say mention other anime who have anniversaries this year like detective conan or mention that super sentai have their 35th anniversary with kaizoku sentai gokaiger, just news regarding shows would be nice thanks.
Which is why I said Steam "Platform". I couldn't remember the name of the development engine off the top of my head for some reason, so I went for the distribution mechanism, because that's likely what those who weren't around for the pre-steam days would recognize.
Source Engine, Ichigo. Steam is the matchmaking/distribution program/service created by Valve to get their stuff out and quickly updated and such, as well as an online store to buy stuff.
Source is the Half-Life 2 engine that most current Valve games run on.
Yay specific knowledge!
EDIT: And yeah. There are a few names that I see a lot in the caption battle winners' circles. Won't lie, sometimes I feel bad that I always put them in there, but to be quiet plain, they are very good at what they do. And as unfair as it may be for others, their approaches just mesh with what I find funny.

It seems like every time I come back to check on you guys, Time-chaser is co-hosting. :P
I honestly have no idea why, but Ichigo, he seriously cracked me up. It may be because its later in the afternoon. XD

Well, while you guys were gone, I listened to old episodes of AnimePulse so it's like you weren't gone at all.
Unscripted anime? What the heck was 'Excel Saga' then?
I wouldn't say I'm very prolific; just lately I'm on a witty streak.
