Access to myOtaku is only active for those people who were members before the shift to Version Vibrant, and what access they have is pretty sparse. The myOtaku system had been upgraded as far as it could go and was both out of date and far too easily broken by members with little experience, so although it still exists, it does so only for the sake of history and a touch of nostalgia.

I mean, can't just delete it. That's way too much life catalogued in there.

But there is nothing else that can be done to the system myOtaku runs off of to make it function anymore. In order to make TheOtaku a better site for the members, it had to be left behind.

Think of it like Historic Downtown Otaku City. No one really lives there anymore, but it's a very important cultural part of the site.

I don't know why all of this makes me a bit nervous, but okay. As long as the site is protected against certain stuff and whatnot then that's good.

I will wait for the shiny and the new! A new server sounds cool!
