I had three different costumes for three different occasions. My first one was little red riding hood, the other was Anna Karenina, and the third was Fox Mccloud from the StarFox game series.
Anna Karenina is a character from a novel by Tolstoy.
I had my local anime convention about a week and 1/2 before so i went as Natsuki from Summer Wars. i made the whole top part and ears and helped my aunt cut out the hakama and she sowed that for me. also wore natsuki for my japanese class and my school's anime club party, but by halloween since i was on door duty i just went with the kimono top and hakama.
I was a zombie! I used a pair of my brother's jeans that were ripped at the knee and one of my dad's button up shirts and ripped it up a bit, then put fake blood on it and the shirt I had underneath to make it look like I'd been stabbed. Put a lot of face paint on as well :3
Saved money. Dressed in all black, cat ears, and a black mask. I'm not even trick or treating. Just handing out candy. Probably no point in me commenting here.

I dressed up as Howl from Howl’s Moving Castle this year! I bought a pink jacket, white shirt, and jewelry (which I modified a bit) from a consignment store for a great price. I had everything else I needed for the costume, and got my hair (blonde ^^) cut the right length. I made Calcifer out of felt and a foam ball, complete with googly eyes. I wore the costume to a Halloween party and won the “Most Beautiful Costume” award, which fit all too perfectly with Howl’s quote: “I see no point in living if I can’t be beautiful.” XD
I'm gona be spam! not the ones you get on your email...SPAM!! The canned meat!! It's easy, i just take a box and painted it :D
have a happy and safe hallow's eve, everyone!!! :D
haha what a great idea :D Hehe, for some reason i imagined a weeping angel in the front yard pulling weed. :P i misread your comment :D Though that is pretty creepy and eerie in a way, you know, seeing a stranger as an angel, weeping, bawling her eyes out while she is pulling on the weeds on the lawn... well... i thought it was scary :D have a good one :D
I spent the last few weeks making a pretty fabulous Gandalf the Gray costume, but I can't go Trick or Treating this year. It breaks my heart to give up a night of staying up late to collect free candy, but that's life, I guess.
Unfortunately, I failed to get my Halloween costume finished in time this year and, considering I have a cold - I'm not really sorry. My intention was to dress as an Airship Pirate. Now I am wearing a 'Happy Owl O'Ween' shirt I bought from Wal-Mart for five bucks. Hopefully next year my costume will be finished in time.

I have this fox hat and tail that I bought at an anime convention (Anime Central) many years ago, and I've been using and reusing it ever since. The latest time I used it was last Saturday when I went to an early Halloween party. Everybody thought I was Pikachu. One person thought I was Naruto because I was wearing my Naruto jacket. Truth is, I wanted to match the orange fox ears and tail and that was the only orange thing I owned that was both readily accessible and clean.
Tonight, I'm going to another Halloween gathering that involves some of the same people. For that, I think I'm going to recycle another old costume of mine. It involves a cowboy hat and a home-made t-shirt that says "Slippery When Wet". Take a wild guess what I'm gonna be.
Call it karma. Call it luck. Me, I just don't give a... BOUNCE!
I'm wearing a white shirt with the word "life" on it, and bring some lemons with me.
And for my mask, I made this troll face (the problem? one). xD
My costume: When (trolling) life gives lemons.
I don't usually dress up but this year, I got invited to a last minute Halloween party where costumes were required and had to throw something together very quickly. I took karate for about a year and a half so I still had my old training clothes. I also have a few katanas. So, I wound up going as a slightly incorrect (my top was not a full-length robe) Samurai Jack. Really though, it was just an excuse to wear a sword for the night.

Anyone else notice that TwinkLes and Kailith are going as their avatars? :D
I don't celebrate Halloween anymore, but I jumped into this discussion just to say the above, so I figured I'd say my piece.
Though I did think it would be a funny idea to dress up as a weeping angel, stand in the front yard, and weed out just who the Whovians are XD Then again, that would probably work better around a convention (maybe in the hotel or something, provided they don't kick you out for doing that)
Mine wont be anime or even video game related this year. I decided to try and go as Willie Robertson from Duck Dynasty. That show has become one of my all time favorites, and I have the hair to pull off one of the Robertson clan men. The only thing I lack at this point... is the beard. Hoping to find that tomorrow when I leave for school and then work after that!
In the spirit of the Robertson family, "Fear God. Hunt Ducks."
I'm dressing up as a genetic experiment gone horribly wrong (well somewhat XD)! Nothing anime related. I have a hospital gone, cat ears and a tail. My sister is going to help me with the body paint. I'm debating on whether or not to carry a parasol and fan.

i tried going simple this year by dressing up as Arrietty
i already had the red dress
the hard part was the clip but i used pipe cleaners and red fabric to make one myself
then i made the pin with a styrophome ball and a small rod i found at my craft store and painted them according to color ^-^
I was my own creation that I called Canuck Blue. The gimmick was "former Canadian hockey player turned Mexican wrestler." I got the idea after finishing watching Ultimate Muscle

Well, I'm dressing up as a fallen angel (I hope to wear it since I haven't completely made the costume just yet), and the way I am doing this by buying an angel costume that I am going to cut up and make it look like I am bloody all over from falling from Heaven to Hell (basically). I also have a type of string that is used for scarves that is going to go around all of the edges of the dress and I bought a bag of small, plastic bones that I bought from the local Halloween store that I am going to make into bracelets. I have a basic red marker for the blood on the dress and the black wings I bought last year at Hot Topic. I bought black leggings and I have the correct shoes for the outfit.
While wanting to save money, I bought me a deluxe size Spider-Man mask as opposed to the whole spidey suit option at a costume shop on Saint-Catherine Street West last week , and with the neck part attached to the mask, I can push it under my shirt collar so the apperaance can be like Spidey's entire suit (though without gloves) is under civilian shirt and civilian pants. Because I like unleashing my fanboy spirit, I may probably add on the mask, the Boota cosplay hat I wore during my visit at Otakuthon 2012.
