The whole trying to link video games to real-world violence is as much total nonsense as Seduction of the Innocent's attempt to link children's comics to real-world youth delinquency. Fining stores for selling M-rated games to minors is one thing I can tolerate, but any attempt to censor violent video games within the U.S. during the existence of the ESRB (the video game industry equivalent to the MPAA within the U.S.), if to happen in the furure, will not only hurt the creative freedom of those involved in the American video gaming idustry, but will likely to tempt other countries that make violent video games (Japan for example) to refuse to export any of their violent games to U.S. distributors in order to avoid a cultural conflict between the U.S. and outside of it, which means for example, if the congress dares to make their censorship threats, U.S.-based fans ofJapanese video games mind as well kiss their chances of seeing more Street Fighter games hit U.S. store shelves goodbye.
As I've noted before, of the six main cast members I listed of Black Lagoon: Roberta's Blood Trail, five play a role in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
Why in the news are video games singled out and blamed for violence? What about all the crime dramas on TV; if you watched enough CSI, you could know what to watch for so you don't drop evidence when committing a crime.
