I just started this series, and I was hooked the very first episode: White Collar. This outstanding crime show is unlike any other I've seen. In my opinion, it surpasses its contemporaries with its intriguing characters and exciting plots, not to mention the comedy that ties all of this together. The cast is superb! Matt Bomer, who plays as the infamous white collar con Neal Cafferey, and Tim DeKay, who stars as the determined FBI agent who's chased the con down, couldn't have made a better duo. Their funny friendship is what truly makes the show, adding humor and drama to the already complex storyline.
Just as a brief synopsis of the show, Neal Cafferey (played by Matt Bomer) is a con who meddles with forgeries, whether they're fake bonds or talented copies of famous paintings. Enter Peter Burke (Tim DeKay), FBI agent who's been hunting down Cafferey for a long time. Burke finally catches Cafferey, and the con goes to prison for several years. However, in a strange prison bust, Cafferey finds himself making a deal with Burke to keep him from going back behind bars. The clever con receives "freedom" in exchange for service to the FBI as a consultant on White Collar crimes, or, Cafferey's insight on his field of expertise, in order to catch dodgy criminals who have been under the FBI's radar for years. On this note, this is where the show takes off, and Neal and Peter find themselves solving tough crimes, while the con does some homework on a more personal case, a strange obsession that puts stress on the duo's friendship and holds everything Cafferey's worked for hanging in the balance...
So...I highly recommend that you guys check out the show! It's wildly funny, and it always keeps you guessing, from season one all the way to its current episodes.
Some of my favorite are Avatar:the last airbender, Community, Sherlock, How I Met Your Mother, Firefly, Adventure Time and Regular Show. Although I prefer most animes over any of those!

I like a lot of non-anime shows. Things currently running that I like: Doctor Who (classic and new series), MythBusters, Top Gear, The Big Bang Theory, Diners Drive-Ins & Dives, American Ninja Warrior, Bones, and most recently Sleepy Hollow.
Other stuff I like that isn't around anymore but I have on DVD: Farscape, Angel, Firefly.
I like Adventure Time, Teen Titans ( don't know if that's considered an anime or not >-<)Ben 10: Omniverse, Dexter's Laboratory, and Monsuno: Combat Chaos ( Also don't know if that's considered an anime :<)
One of my favorite number one shows hands down has to be "Chuck" Amazing show cannot recommend it enough! Now the rest of my list: Arrow, Smallville,Suits, supernatural,Firefly, Dexter(Speaking of, thanks for using my art piece!)
I like detective shows like Psych, Medium, Monk(dont judge), and The Dresden Files. Other than that I watch How I Met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory
Doctor Who is my absolute favorite and that's of all time and of everything and nothing could ever beat it!
But I also love Sherlock, merlin, Qi, Have I got news for you, mock the week, whose line is it anyway, new tricks, NCIS, midsummer murder, and a few others I can't remember and don't want to take up any more room :)
Courage isnt a matter of not being afraid, Its being afraid and doing what you have to do anyway!
Right now I'd have to say my favorite is actually Dexter! >.> lol
But that's ending soon...
As for of all time...dunno...
I've always been a big fan of Gilligan's Island. I used to watch it on Nickelodeon as a kid and when they got released on DVD my family bought them.
They always cheer me up, whenever something bads happened and I'm sad or if I'm really sick I always watch the show and it makes me feel better.
Plus its just a really fun show to watch!!!
My favorite episodes include the one where Gilligan thinks he's become a vampire and when the castaways put on a musical version of Hamlet!
Also BBC's Sherlock and the American Elementary. Strange I know to like both, but I feel like they each touch on an interesting side of Sherlock. Also I enjoy a female interpretation of Watson. And while it may be unusual no one can call Lucy Liu's Watson anything but intelligent, and the writers have done a good job avoiding her being relegated to love interest/side kick. I enjoy seeing their interaction developed with each new episode ^^
Fave non anime show? That one was hard enough to begin with. Then seeing all of the other comments reminded me of all the ones I've seen, liked and some I've only seen part of! So I shall go with one that I loved but no one else has mentioned yet. Chuck
I mostly love science fiction stuff. I'm feeling too lazy to post a whole long list.
My favorite one is Grimm. I absolutely love that one. I used to really like House of Anubis. Until Nina left .-. I really like Heroes of Cosplay too. It's cool. Impractical Jokers. The only non-anime TV show that can make me laugh. Which is kind of sad if I think about it...but oh well.

Hnn...I don't watch a whole bunch of current T.V. series, but I do have the box sets for two of my favorite (and woefully short) live-action series that I still watch quite regularly: Firefly and Legal High!
I was introduced to Firefly by my brother and when I was told that it was a western/sci-fi/space opera/drama, I was sold. Happy to say that although it was so sadly short, I enjoyed it so very, very much. The characters were wonderful, the setting was fantastic, and it knew how to maintain that odd mix of drama and comedy that I love.
Probably thanks to the Phoenix Wright games, I have an extreme weakness for court room dramas. Of course, most of the ones I've seen in the U.S. have been super serious which while nice, isn't really my cup of tea. Legal High! is anything but. Just when you think it's going to take itself seriously, it gets dopey and dorky again. The characters are fun and energetic and part of you just really wants to hate Komikado (the main male lead) but you can't. You just can't. I really am delighted that they're making a second season of this and I can't wait to see it!

I started watching non-anime shows because of Heroes, probably because of it's sci-fi story xD After that I watched lots like The Big Bang Theory, White Collar, Touch, Arrow, How I Met Your Mother, Grey's Anatomy, The Following, Lost, Prison Break, Masterchef Australia/America, New Girl, Two Broke Girls, Castle, Supernatural.
You're NEVER too old to enjoy Spongebob. I watch it nearly everyday and never get bored with it; re-runs and all. xDD
I hope you get to watch Supernatural sometime. The show is amazing...I love it!!! xD I really wouldn't waste much time with the anime though. I bought the first season of it and still haven't finished watching it. I just couldn't get into it honestly. Anyway, again...I hope you get to watch it. Both Jensen and Jared are amazing in it. OuOd
What did everyone think of Legend of Korra Season 2 Premiere?
For my opinion, it is simply WAY too early to judge this show. However, I'm concerned as to what Studio Pierrot will contribute. Given their...track record, here's hoping Studio Mir shines through again.

Bravest Warrior
Bee and Puppycat
Big Time Rush (the show's kinda funny and lame but I love those guys and the cast)
Doctor Who (50TH ANNIVERSARY YOOOO)
Sherlock
Elementary
New Girl
Mindy project
My Little Pony
Supernatural
Twisted
Foster Family
Baby Daddy
Mistresses (guilty pleasure here)
...and I'm trying to get into Adventure Time and Gravity Falls but i've only seen 1 episode (funny enough, same for Sherlock but still). Oh, and I want to get into Teen Wolf and Supah Ninjas.

I watch a ton. I seem to watch more non-anime than anime these days lol. Anything on the Food Network (I'm loving the new show, Cutthroat Kitchen), all of those storage auction shows (Storage Wars, Auction Hunters, etc.), Colbert Report, America's Got Talent, the Voice, Face Off, Project Runway, American Dad, New Girl (yay, new season coming up!)...lol. I could go on and on. :]
Animated shows I've been tracking are Adventure Time, Green Lantern the Animated Series, Young Justice, Legend of Korra(Coming back tonight), Futurama, Archer and Gravity Falls.
For Live action shows, theres The Colbert Report, Mythbusters, Doctor Who, Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman, Walking Dead, Turtle Man, and any National Geographic and Animal Planet series that's not about red-necks, ghosts, or fish tanks.
Doctor who (and to think I never knew about this amazing show while I was growing up!), Game of Thrones (Tolkien with a twist...lots of twists actually) and that's about it!
Spongebob Squarepants!! XD Really, I never get bored of this show. Though I feel weird because I'm too old for that show, I still love it. The silly and happy Spongebob makes me never bored and the way he always annoys Squidward is so hilarious.
Btw, I've been hearing a lot about Doctor Who... but I think I'm the only person who has never watched it. Talking about Supernatural, I've been wanting to watch this show! I really like Jensen Ackles, but I haven't got time to watch even a single episode of it. ;____;
I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls <3
I'm the biggest fan of Masterchef, may it be America's or Australia's I'm totally smitten over it!
Next I lovvvveeee The big bang Theory, because of, you guessed it, Sheldon, and I love the overall story. It has its ups and downs of course but, it never fails to make me laugh.
Next in line I love to watch The modern Family, How I met your mother and Wipeout, mainly because I love comedy shows! OHH, and Raising Hope was pretty good too...
Ok, last! I like Castle alot too...The chemistry b/w the main actors is really good and the way they solve crimes is very realistic.
Doctor Who all the way! Love that show. I'm also a big fan of MST3K, Malcolm in the Middle, and the original Teen Titans. (ps Congratulations Blue Latte!)
I also hope that the way it is,since it says 'lucky commenter' and not 'answer'.Besides, I don't think it would be random if it was chosen based on the answer.

Nobody here has mentioned Batman Beyond yet!! Love that show! Static Shock and the Zeta Project are also really good! Then there's Teen Titans, Avatar and Ben 10: Alien Force more recently.

For me, it's all about Downton Abbey and Parks and Recreation. The last couple shows I was really addicted to, however, weren't ever really on TV - Netflix's shows, House of Cards and Orange is the New Black, were really addictive!
Hmm... most of the shows I follow now are probably not anime (I'm only really watching SnK and Free). Even though the medium is different, I guess I'm still attracted to a similar form of storytelling.
I really like The Walking Dead, House, and Hannibal, and I've also got a soft spot for Downton Abbey. I used to be really into Game of Thrones, but I haven't liked the show as much since I started reading the books...
As for non-dramas, I love love love Drake & Josh, and Stephen Colbert.

Well I watch and love many tv series but there's one specifically I have re watched it so many times because of how much I love it and that is FRINGE. The sad part is that none of my friends or my family have seen this show so I don't have anyone in person who I can talk about it. You know that feeling you get when you just finished watching an amazing episode and then the next day or same day you have to talk about it with someone, to analyze or just say how awesome it was and you change to otaku mode? yeah I have never done it with FRINGE *sigh*
Adventure Time, c'mon, grab your friends. If it weren't for the Summer Season and Attack on Titan, that would be my one show I watch.
I also watch Sherlock, RWBY (technically not anime), Gravity Falls, the Avatar franchise, the Cartoon Hangover shorts, and am not ashamed to say, as a twenty year-old straight male, I've seen every episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. It's not OMG TEH BEST SHOW EVAR like some fans claim, but compared to its other peers, it is good enough in stride. In addition, the fanbase is the best kind of mental. Mental enough to produce what comes to mind.
Last edited by Hisaishi at 11:23:24 PM EDT on September 12, 2013.
I hope that the winner is chosen at random rather than by the answer, because I'm not a big TV person. For one thing, I don't even OWN a TV. The closest I get to TV is when a friend of mine recounts episodes of The Big Bang Theory for me. Also, when I'm working out or at a cafe, I see TVs on mute all around me. Sometimes I can follow what's going on, even without the sound. And sometimes I look over my parents' shoulders when I'm at their house and they're watching TV.
For another thing, I've never really been into live-action TV shows. That was even before I discovered anime. While all the kids in school were trying to show how grown up they were by watching Friends and the like, I was perfectly content to watch the Disney Afternoon cartoon block.
Call it karma. Call it luck. Me, I just don't give a... BOUNCE!

I'm into Superwholock (A combination of Supernatural, Sherlock, and Doctor Who) Also, Hannibal, Psych, Rizzoli & Isles, and plenty of others. I watch too much tv. ._.
I tend to watch a lot of different TV shows, mainly from Britain and South Korean Dramas are a must. Here are my favorites so far:
Super Natural
Game of Thrones (rated R)
Survivors (even though they cancelled )
Orange Is The New Black (rated R)
Scandal (rated R?)
Like i said i think Korean dramas i watch from the most(especially those of supernatural or historic based dramas):
Boys Over Flowers
You're Beautiful
The Revenge of The Gumiho
Golden Bride
Personal Taste
Ice Adonis
Lie To Me
Jewel in the Palace
Hwang Jin Yi
Me Too, Flower
etc.
I can definitely go on but i don't think there is enough room!
On a regular basis, there are a number of currently non-Anime TV shows I watch.
Supernatural
Arrow
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012)
Ultimate Spider-Man
Family Guy
Futurama
The Cleveland Show (shamed it got axed)
American Dad
Bob's Burgers
Adventure Time
Bounty Hunters (the new animated sitcom starring fictional verisons of the Blue Collar trio)
Aqua Teen Hunger Force still remains a favorite, though I find myself having to find new episodes online once in a blue moon since I don't have Cartoon Network/Adult Swim in my TV satelite.
Does it have to be from Western TV? If so, How I Met Your Mother might be my best answer, although I don't watch it too often these days.
If you would expand it further to include non-anime Asian TV shows, I would say that I watch My Husband's Lover, a Filipino drama show about a wife, a husband, and the gay lover of the husband. (Yeah, don't get me started about the whole story.)
It's one of very few shows I've seen in our place that really reflects carefully well-crafted entertainment, from the story to the acting, and even its cinematography. When you consider the fact that it tackles various issues of homosexuality head-on in a tasteful and responsible manner, I can't help but be amazed at the quality of this show.
I love Supernatural!!! The episodes are awesome and I love anything that has to do with supernatural powers or fantasy. Gives us something to believe in right! Just like anime makes us believe!! LOVE IT my favorite is Castiel...... :3

Btw, I've been hearing a lot about Doctor Who... but I think I'm the only person who has never watched it. Talking about Supernatural, I've been wanting to watch this show! I really like Jensen Ackles, but I haven't got time to watch even a single episode of it. ;____;

BOUNCE!

I tend to watch a lot of different TV shows, mainly from Britain and South Korean Dramas are a must. Here are my favorites so far:
Super Natural
Game of Thrones (rated R)
Survivors (even though they cancelled )
Orange Is The New Black (rated R)
Scandal (rated R?)
Like i said i think Korean dramas i watch from the most(especially those of supernatural or historic based dramas):
Boys Over Flowers
You're Beautiful
The Revenge of The Gumiho
Golden Bride
Personal Taste
Ice Adonis
Lie To Me
Jewel in the Palace
Hwang Jin Yi
Me Too, Flower
etc.
I can definitely go on but i don't think there is enough room!

On a regular basis, there are a number of currently non-Anime TV shows I watch.
