Like Sangome said, the new FMA anime is a remake of sorts, with more focus on the original story in the manga series. So I guess that brings us back to the beginning, but the events will be different this time around.

I'm really excited to see that Ed is back! But I'm confused - is this show a remake of the original show, or is it a continuation of the Conqueror of Shamballa movie?
