Well, it ain't actually "manga-on-the-go". It's more of a sneak preview of what's inside the manga being sold in the book shop. They choose a manga, then they scan the assigned barcode placed on the cabinet. Once that's done, 16 pages of the manga can now be read on the cellphone to see what's inside and to help them decide if they should buy it or not.
I assume they're doing this because the manga comics are wrapped in plastic.

they mite have the bar code in a catalog or something similar! To truly try before you buy!!
I think it wood be a fantastic idea shame ill never see it in the UK but hay that's what the internet is fore!!
