People complain about things that don't even matter. There are more important things going on in the world! Geez!
But I think that Nintendo could use some more M rated games. I have always been a Nintendo girl; I grew up with it. But two years ago my sister and I chose the PS3 over the Wii for Chirstmas because of the M rated games. We love games with "explict violence and gore" and guns and things blowing up. I was torn when we made the decision, but it came down to one simple thing: "Are there enough non-kid oriented games on the Wii?" Now, I do enjoy games like Mario Party and Zelda, but I love things like Dead Space and Resident Evil way more! I think this is a step in the right direction for Wii if they hope to bring in more "adult" gamers.
How hard is it to just not buy your kids the games you don't want them to have? Is it seriously that hard? I just heard a complaint on the news about a Mom complaining about Britney Spear's new CD (I have a gay friend and he LOVES Britney so don't shoot me) but mentioned how this woman was wanting to sue the distributing company cause she bought the new cd for her child, not knowing what the content of the lyrics was. It's BRITNEY SPEARS the icon of sex everywhere!!! I just don't understand some parents.....

I never heard of it either and to be honest even though I don't know much about it but many of the blood and violent games from Xbox and thus have been very unfamily friendly...I think the WII is a great thing even if this company or program or whatever wants to say it isn't family friendly is by all means just plain stupid
EXACTLY. They're making a big deal out of something so little. It makes me wonder about the parents of today... It's probably all the fuddy-duddy's whining about it ._.
i'm tired of people ragging on nintendo for everything. first it was "it's too family friendly" and now it's "OMG! a rated M game!! my poor innocent child!" big deal, get a life, be a parent and decide what games you'll allow your kids to buy. they can't go get it without U knowing, now can they (if you're a responsible parent that is). really people? REALLY?
It's like when Jessica Simpson was apparently grotesquely fat that one time. If there ain't any good news out there, you make mountains outta ant hills.
Chalk this one in the ambivalence section, I think.
I fund it lulzy how they choose now to object to Nintendo greenlighting a game above the Teen rating. They've been doing it since the 64, and they're still regarded as the family-friendly option. Hell, Resident Evil 4 was a frickin' Gamecube exclusive for a while.
Though I suppose that Madworld is considerably worse than most of the other stuff they've let through before in terms of violent content. Still, after letting No More Heroes slip under their radar, this makes the group look like hypocrites.
People get worked up over nothing. The law requires those fancy rating labels for a reason. Why complain, they warn you ahead of time. Sheesh, people have too much free time to be complaining about this kind of stuff.
The Wii has quite a few games that are in fact not "family-friendly" at all. Take Resident Evil 4 for example, and it's been out for quite some time.
I have been excitedly waiting for MadWorld, having heard about it almost a year ago. I have it, and man, is it ever a good game. Finally some more mature game for the Wii.
Just a heads up though, this game makes GTA games look tame. Believe me. I've been playing games for my entire life, and have played a good amount of everything that is out there, and this is one of the most violent games I've ever played.

I'm glad someone is finally saying this actually.
If less people buy the Wii, then games should improve. It's worked for the PS3, hasn't it?

I'd rather see in shades of gray.
