I saw the trailed and screamed a profanity that I didn't even know I knew...hell, I'm not sure it was english, might've been latin for all I know....However, I love Astro Boy, so I will be a tad bit open minded about this....
Well, my only problem is that Hollywood's main movies are ones taken from books (comics or novels), or remakes. I've never seen so many remakes in my life! O_O And I really wish people would stop using the same actors OVER AND OVER AGAIN. =_=;; I'm just disapointed in general, I mean, we go to teh theaters and the trailors and "So and so makes a porno" or that one movie that reminded me of "Bring it on" only with guys...
But there are good movies, I'll admit to that: Grand Toreno (with Clint Eastwood!! *dances* I love Clint Eastwood movies) and a few others that came out that I can't at the moment recall the names of! lol
Hollywood still has a lot of good ideas today, although some films are adaptations of classic literature, U.S. comics, or true stories. It's just that since Hollywood filmmakers don't own copyright to the original Anime/Manga stories while it's a matter of getting permission to do movies based on an Anime or manga, it's a smart move to use their talents and creativities to create alternate continuities (ex: Dragonball" Evolution" will depict a continuity seperate from the one seen throughout the manga). Maybe it's that some people (incl. those here at theOtaku.com) don't pay attention to a lot of trailers for non-Anime-based U.S. films these days. But still, Hollywood is a succesful bussiness.
However, pretend that Hollywood is running out of ideas and that its Anime-based films are to end up failling at the box office, that'll lead to a dead end point for all of Hollywood.

I feel better now. I thought this was in reference to it being a LIVE ACTION film. I feel alot better.
It actually looked pretty damn awesome, I'm surprised. This is great, I so wanna go watch it!! ^^ But, does anyone else notice that NOW Hollywood is taking notice on anime? I mean, don't they have their own ideas? Seems they are running out of ideas and using animes as a scapegoat.
All and all, it was an awesome clip. Can't wait to see it!!
That "Astro boy" film trailer sure blew me away! Nice stuff!
I wish that movie good luck in attracting both old and new fans of "Astro Boy" in North America during theatrical release. A must see for lovers of Sci-Fi Action!

Yeah, I know what you mean. I mean, haven't we seen enough of Freddie Highmore and Nicholas Cage for a while?
