that really bugs me too. Last time I was in a Barnes & Noble, I was wondering where they were at, and I thoght they were gone, and I went all "No-z!" and lots of people 'shush'ed me.
That's weird, my local Border's tends to just stick the light novels in with the manga section. Then again, the only light novels I've seen at Borders were the ones based on manga and anime series, like Naruto and FMA.
I need to snoop around that place a little more than usual next time I go.

Yeah, I saw the novel in Barnes and Noble; it was with some manga titles in the young adult fiction section. Hello; put them with the rest of the manga, B&N organizers. Everything must be kept in its proper place.
I bought it also and have read a little bit of it. I must say that I was really impressed. The way the novel is written relates alot to the mange. You can hear Crispin Freeman's voice while you're reading the novel. (This should be good news to his fans) But what I really mean is that with the kind of writing that the novel has, it is really similar to the style of writing in the anime, thereby very close to the personality of the show and it's characters. I really recommend any Haruhi fans to read this novel. A definite must add to their collection.

@arisu hatake:
some book store go-ers are REALLY mean when it comes to book-finding controversies. and yes, I know I responded to my own response. So sue me.
