I still hope that one day someone will recognize Ouran High School Host Club as an awesome candidate! It would possibly end up as something like Kamikaze Girls if it was done in Japan originally... but I REALLY hope that they would do the FMP! movie! *jumps in seat hyperly* I don't care if you agree, it would be good!
Hmm..... >__> It might've just been Edward that I didn't like. I'm Not sure. Probably all the obsessed fans that thought that he was married to them. And got mad when I'd say that I was for Team Jacob. O___O
That sounds nice. I don't want to be like totally hating you just because we don't totally agree on someting. (Not that I would. I don't really get mad at people like that. ^__^ )
But I think if they got the right people together, it could be good. :3

Slam Dunk was pretty good. I mean, I have NEVER read a sports manga, and the closest thing I got to it was watching 5 episodes of Prince of Tennis on Tonami Jetstream. It's pretty realistic, and I thought it was really good! Ouran High School Host Club WOULD be a good live-action, but I STILL think that they should put more consideration into that FMP! live-action!
There is a live action Higurashi film that was released in Japanese theaters on May 10, 2008 and there is a sequel being released in Japanese theaters this month. Here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUUZD81OULI

"There are some possessions that must never be sold for all the fortunes of the world."
Yea, I remember seeing something about that on Youtube. He only showed it at the cons for a year, and he said that if you missed out, then you missed out. :/
I think it was something with the Japanese company, and that's why there wasn't any DVD release.
(If there was, though, I'd have totally bought it.)
Yeah, it would be really cool to see, and I'm sure that it would attract a lot of fans, but I think that I'm a little less trusting of Hollywood after seeing Twilight.
*shudders* Ugh. It makes me mad just typing the name.
Slam Dunk would be awesome live action. <3 I can't imagine it being very hard to do...except that they would need taller guys if they wanna slam dunk for real, lol. XD But it's such a great anime, and it would deserve a GOOD live action. OMG, same with MONSTER. <333333 I've always thought that. I think a movie could be made from it...it's just so freaking intense. Even a US made live action movie...that would be so cool.
Actually, Vic Mignogna (the voice of Ed) made a small live-action movie called, "Fullmetal Fantasy" in where he cosplays as Ed and the voice actors play their characters (he even used FUNimation's statue of Al). He's talked about it in cons and plays it there. No word yet on a DVD release...
IMO, any slice-of-life anime would be perfect to recreate in live action only because you don't have to worry about elements and special effects. So Ouran and Slam Dunk would be good choices... fantasy anime are a different story (as we know already...).

Why wouldn't FMA be good? That kind of thing is what Hollywood is good at! I mean, like I said, problems would occur..but it would be nice to see. PROGRESS I SAY! PROGRESS!
I don't want them to do that. I can't see it, and now that they have the new series out, it would be making the series, like, I don't know. It would upset the Force, that's for sure.
I personally think that Ouran would be cool, if they did it well enough. And if they got the right people--we don't want a bad director, 'cause it could turn out like DragonBall. O__o
*shudders*
THAT WOULD BE FRIGGEN AWESOME!! That would be one of the epic(est) horror flicks ever!! That and if they ever did this one called "Doubt", I don't think it's been adapted into an anime, but it's a really awesome horror manga that I really like ^^
Slam Dunk would actually be a good one to do, or any of the sports mangas/animes that don't revolve around crazy attack moves and stuff. I do agree that it wouldn't be the same if One Piece or FMA were to be in a live action, that would be weird. Ouran...mweh. It would have to be done very well.
Since I had a glimpse of two Asian drama shows having basketball as its theme ("My MVP Valentine" and "Hot Shot"), I think Slam Dunk has the potential to at least become a decent live-action adaptation. Then again, the said dramas were produced in Taiwan, but I think Japanese producers can do just fine.
"Monster" looks okay to adapt as well. And according to ANN, an adaptation had already been planned since 2005.
As for the others...well, let's just see when it actually materializes.
I have no comments towards Slam Dunk having not watched the series. However, I would think it just like Hoosiers style movies. One Piece and FMA I think cannot be done live whatsoever lest you disgrace the franchise D'Ball style. However, Ouran might have a shot. I mean, though off the ball, the series events could actually happen in real life, making it easier to not screw up. But did anyone think about Higurashi live-action? That would be cool.

I may never have read "Slam Dunk" before, but regarding that it's a sports fiction that uses realism about sports, I'm sure the live-action adaptation of this will turn out as okay as any live-action sports fiction made so far, like "Rocky".

I think FMA could be a good movie, even an American version, I mean there would be flaws, but I do believe it would be good as Live Action.

On the plus side, should this one actually happen, the producers can say that the fans brought it upon themselves?

Oh gosh.
Silly Japan, regular One Piece is bizarre enough the way it is. Making it live-action would pretty much kill all willing suspension of disbelief.
FMA is a big maybe.
