X is quite a complex story. It's about duality. One side wants to destroy mankind to give the planet a chance and rejuvenate itself whereas the other side want to protect mankind believing that man can save the Earth.
The story is a beautiful one and the series (what I've seen of it) is amazing. I think you'd enjoy it :) xx
