As far as how long it took me...it's hard to say, because there have been times where I went for a few years without drawing anything, and often in fear that I would not be able to again ( worried I would lose it, if I don't use it, lol). But it doesn't take long to get back into the rhythm of things. I definitely do notice that I do make little improvements over time. Always learning new stuff...getting as much practice as possible. I know I do go through a lot of blocks...but I'm getting a little better at pushing through them with time.
However, I won't say that practice make perfect, because as Mayuri says " there is no such thing as perfection " . heh heh
Wow your artwork is completely amazing ~ Is still shocked and in awe of the one you did of Kenpatchi which I couldn't stop staring at ~ I mean dang, did it take you a long time to get that good at drawing? It is so insanely realistic I could hardly believe it (and to think I just came here because your intro thing mentioned you liked classic comic series!') I definitely hope you add some more art sometime, I am keen to see more of it, just amazing ~ So many thumbs up I have to call my ninjas in to help lol ~

Maybe, I've never been on the TheOtaku boards ^^; sorry that I can't be of much help there. I think I had the same problem and I didn't want to bother registering again, but trying right now it says I entered invalid stuff too, so I guess you would need to register separately for the boards. *shrugs* But with your avi, right now my avi is a gif and 128kb (I think the 131kb was too big so I had to shrink it and add a border to keep it at 100x100) I don't know if that helps, but good luck with your avi!

Yes, thanks. I ended up re-submitting the picture. Now I have another problem. I'm trying to change my avatar, and it keeps telling me that it needs to be exactly 100 x 100, yet I am even using their basic avatar here as a template, and it's still not working. I also made sure it's a jpeg. I don't know what I am doing wrong. If you have any ideas, I would really appreciate the help.

The mini-avis are the author of the fanword shown. You don't have to do anything with it, but if you love writing, when you post to one of your worlds you can nominate it to be published as a fanword on the site. If it's well written and such, the mods will approve it and it will show up on your fanwords an on the category's page of fanwords. This may take a couple of days to be approved.
Saving it as a draft will put it in a personal folder in your porfolio not visible. When you submit something, you want to submit it for publication for it to be visible in you portfolio. Hope that helps some! ^.^

I just submitted a drawing as a draft, but I don't really know what that means, or where the picture went, because I can't see it anywhere. I thought it would show up in my personal album on my portfolio page. I'm very confused.
But I'm at least happy there are some friendly people here to welcome me. I hope I can stick around long enough to get to know everyone : )
