I was looking through your fanarts, and I've gotta say, they're really cool! Not only that, but you've already got nine up and you've only been a member for four days! I like your Ichigo and Jack Frost ones the best.
If you ever have any questions about how the site works, feel free to ask! I'm on here a lot, so I'll be able to reply pretty quickly.
First I'll go through how to subscribe to people. You need to get to a person's portfolio first. That's the page that shows all of their artwork, worlds, trophies, ranking on the site, etc. I'll use myself as an example because you should totally subscribe to me XD
1) You can do it two ways. You can either click on my username "silvershriek" that you see in these comments. It'll be under the "Sent By" tag. OR you can type my username in the search box at the top right hand corner of theOtaku webpage. From there you'll see my name under the "member" tag. Click on my name and it will take you to my portfolio that way.
2) Once you're at the portfolio page scroll down until you see the tag "Subscriptions" It will be the last thing in the portfolio 'box' before you see my fan art. You can see that I currently subscribe to 69 people (on left) and that 45 people subscribe to me (on right). If you want to subscribe to someone, simply click on the red heart that is next to the amount of subscribers that a person has (on right). Then you will automatically be updated every time they post art or a status on their world.
Second, how to make friends.
Well, basically I go to the "Home" page of theOtaku website (one of the taps at the top, left) and scroll through fan art, wallies, and see if I like a person's art. If I like a piece of artwork I click on their name and go to their portfolio and see if I like their other stuff. Then I can choose to subscribe to them or not. That's one way to do it. Other ways is to post art and see who comments. That's where I've made most of my friends is when they comment on my stuff and we just start a random conversation or I comment on theirs and so it goes. Of course, you don't have to have a conversation before you subscribe to someone but usually they'll put a comment on your "Guestbook" thanking you for subscribing to them (which you can view in both your backroom and portfolio).
The more art you put out there the more people will see you and comment.
A few people I suggest subscribing to are MangaKid, Everlasting Light, Mazoku Knight, Pandaman08, and thelostsindar. They're all very nice and love helping new people on theO. They also have some pretty cool art too ^^b Don't get discouraged if someone doesn't reply to you right away. Some people only check theO every few days because of internet. Others, like, me have more time so we're on more often ^^"
