Hello again everyone. I know it’s been quite some time since I did a wallpaper challenge. One of the major reasons for that is because I haven’t really been entering challenges either. Plus I got kind of behind making prizes for my last challenge and didn’t think it was fair to start another challenge before the awards for the last one were given out. To be honest, I’m actually not completely caught up yet, but there are only two wallpaper challenges going at the moment. So I decided to keep things rolling by adding one of my own.

So for this challenge I’m actually sort of revisiting a concept from two previous challenges I did. And while I got some really good entries for those challenges that all fit the theme I assigned, none of them really gave me what I was hoping to see. So I’m going to give this particular theme another shot by getting more specific (which is what I should’ve done in the first place). The theme for this challenge is rage; the kind of rage personified by the following song by Meat Loaf.

The Monster Is Loose

If you’re not familiar with the song, please click the above link and take a few minutes to listen to it. If anything, it should hopefully provide some inspiration for this challenge. Now for this challenge I’m being quite literal with the title, “The Monster Is Loose”. In some anime shows, there are episodes where the central hero goes into a berserker rage and basically “hulks out,” changing into a powerful and destructive monster that attacks friend and foe alike. Some examples I can think of off the top of my head are Naruto when the Ninetailed Fox possesses him, and a certain Attack on Titan character who becomes one of the giant monsters he and his friends fight against in the series. For this challenge I want to see wallpapers of anime characters like the ones I mentioned in that monstrous transformed state.

RULES

• As always, source all materials (images, brushes, etc.) and tell me what program you used to make the wallpaper.
• Use of any lyrics of the Meat Loaf song in the wallpaper is optional, but it should try and capture the feeling of the song.
• Only anime, manga, and videogame characters will be allowed.
• To show me that you actually read the rules, put the word “Monster” in the tags.
• Limit is two submissions.

Other than that, you’re only limited by your imagination, the standard rules of TheO, and what you can do with a computer. So be creative and have fun. Since I’m admittedly still a little behind on prizes for my last challenge, I’m making this one a three-month challenge to give me ample time to catch up. More importantly though, it’ll give all of you time to come up with the best entries you can.
