I think the border was not really neccesary, but overall the wallpaper looks good =]. A little too busy for my taste though, but that's just me =P. I know what you mean, I tend to go overboard with so many brushes I come across XD. Don't worry, you did a nice job ^_^

don't know the anime but the wallpaper looks great!
it would look better without the grey leaves under the flowery mass next to her... and for me, removing the greenish leaves on the sides would make it absolutely perfect^^
