Thanks, r34dm4n. When I did this piece, I did it from an original image, and I think I had found it difficult to try and recreate those swords. I could have done it, but it takes forever in Photoshop, lol.
Lately tho, I've taken to doing my pieces in Illustrator--trying to improve my knowledge of the program--so it's become an easier job to recreate areas that don't exist, lol. If I ever redo this piece--something I don't do too often, I'm afraid--I'll give it a try in Illustrator.
Thanks for the vote of approval, Koji Sujimoto! Yeah, I like Ukitake too...tho you never really get a feel for his character...maybe that's part of what makes him so intriguing tho, lol.
Yeah, on the fall theme. I might try that another time, with this piece.
Actually tho, for some reason, Kubo Tite did a geometric background on all his images in this calendar, so I was trying to somewhat keep the same look and feel of his original, somewhat, although I'm not sure that I've necessarily improved on it. :)
Thanks for the comment an suggestion about the fall leaves!
Unfortunatley, my day of playing hooking is ending in a few...got to hit the books and homework in the morning. Yikes!
I think the characters look really good, but I'm just not feelin the Bg. I would really love this if it had a fall theme. To me there would be plenty of room and some blowing leavs would go well with the direction there cloths are moveing. But thats just what I think. Hope you get more comments on it. Luv,Koji Sujimoto.
