When I was designing the piece, I actually wanted it to look like it was a frozen tear, what which Hitsugaya's affinity for ice. From you comments, it seems to have worked like intended. Thanks, that helps! Hey, and I've really begun to like Hitsugaya, lol. I just sorta fell into liking him I guess...his character intrigues me. I always get this feeling that there's a lot more to him that the author hasn't let us know yet. And from what I understand from the rumor mill, in the second movie, a great deal of it is about him and his troubles, so maybe we'll slowly get to know him more. ....hoping.... lol

*faves* Hurrah for Hitsugaya fans! (especially when their so good at making wallies of him!) Obviously, I LOVE IT! So far as your question about the tear... I think it's fine. i don't really think either way is better than another, but it looks good. It also almost doesn't look like a tear, but just a shard that flew past at the perfect time of the picture.... anyway spectacular!
