Thanks for the compliment! To answer your question, to make the different shades of Luffys, I simply duplicate the layer 4 times and for each of them, I put discard the color information by putting them on "grayscale", then switched them back to RGB. After, I only had to Image-->Adjustments-->Color and adjust it to the proper color.
