^^ There is a trick to that. Gradient fade tools. Foreground to transparent gradient. Do the edges of both images and merge them, sometimes you have to cut off corners though, and then merge that with a layer the same color as the fade. Then have at with the effects. You may have had to take a different aproach with this one though, as you have two colors clashing like that (not in a bad way). But yeah. I likey the effect too. ^^
