ummmm... did u by any chance... flip the pictres around or anything? cuz the side it's top is buttoned at is the wrong way... the way it's buttoned right now is the way for corpses at funerals... and it's considered unlucky, not mention bad omen to do it...
though not that I really care since it's just a picture... and a very nice picture it is... it's just you kept saying it was lucky and stuff and I thought it's top kinda undermines that... >.<
I think Chinese people believe in red. Red brings them luck also.
In Chinese New Year, the older people give the youngers the red envelopes for the good-luck of the whole year. In an exchange, the youngers say something good to the olders.
