I haven't played the game but I saw the movie.
The plot and characters were unoriginal, not enough of the creepy monsters so praised by others. Wacky religious witch hunters and a creepy little girl who overly resembled Samara from The Ring, it had a rather tacky and excessively blood spewing end. What was the logical point of even going to Silent Hill?
I did not understand the point of the father in the movie, Sean Bean deserves a better role than a time wasting foster daddy who just sat around complaining about his missing family, but I am pretty sure a real father would have been more concerned. The mother seemed very determined to find her daughter but not at all emotionally involved.
Is it me, or do alot of movies these days portray Christians as fanatics? Here is a review of the movie that sums up my thoughts about it.

i never played the games, too scared too, but i liked the part with all the white nurses and the creeping bloody walls, awesome job on merging the pics!
