Actually , Nero is not the vergil Son. He only have part of Vergil`s demon power on his arm, and yes, There are two pics of Nero. xD

Look at their clothes and weapons. Nero's got blue jacket, Dante red. Dante's got long double-edged sword and two nearly identical pistols (save for colour), when Nero's got one-edged sword and two-barreled revolver.
Another way to tell which is which is to look at their arms. One of Nero's is demonic. Also Nero can't turn into demon form, he only has demon avatar with him at times, when Dante can. If you don't believe me, check Devil May Cry wiki, or just normal wikipedia. Gamespot's DMC 4 site is also good for reference.
BTW, don't worry, you're not the first one to mix them up.
