Yeah, I must agree that the textures of the two pictures are really different and that's why it doesn't blend well *sighs*
The words are, for me, easy to read in full size (1600x1200) but, sure it's hard to see on other size :S

For this song of Katy Perry... Truth is that the MV is for me kind of... disgusting =__= Too much candies and all that... I kept the main colors of the MV, blue and pink on the BG but more discreet to have a (not too much anyway) calm atmosphere. But, yeah, Kengo looks a lot Californian to me =3
Working more on Kengo would have been better for the... blender I guess (I don't have my dictionnary next to me so I improvise my english XD).

It would be nice if I can do better XD If you say so, I hope I could^^

Kengo!! And Monochrome Fator~ Love that anime. Anyway, the wallpaper is nice! I think that maybe the two pics were a little iffy to be combined, but you did a good job nonetheless. And I agree with RambleBramble, the words are a little difficult to read. Other than that I do like this wallpaper! Keep up the good work and keep trying!! I still love your other wallpapers too! ^^

First of all, I'm very thankful that you dedicated a wallpaper to me. That is very kind of you.

Now, as for the image itself:

The two pictures you chose don't compliment one another at all. Their textures are too different. Even still, though, you've left the image of the boy and sunflowers without much in the way of blending in with the background image. I can't see a drop shadow or anything that would help. Instead, it looks rather poorly dropped over the background. True, the boy is clearly your dominant, so you got that down, but you lost what was good about your other wallpaper. There isn't much down with textures or color effects, and yeah, the two pictures don't mesh well. Even the words you chose are a little difficult to read.

As for the theme, it's a good theme, particularly for the time. However, I'm not feeling the theme much. The boy is blond and summery, sure, but the image doesn't feel California-y. It certainly doesn't connect with the Katy Perry lyric.

Now then, all of that said, I'm glad that you both chose a theme and made one element dominant over another, I just feel like you can do more with those comments than what has been done here. All the same, thank you very much for the dedication.
