I think this looks amazing. I love all the green you put in the background. This looks like it took a few hours, maybe even a few days. This wallpaper looks amazing. I like how you positioned Harry Potter and Voldemort. It looks very interesting and makes me want to see the movie even more. I've been waiting for the 7th Harry Potter movie for awhile lol. Your description is probably the longest one of all the current entries. After I read it, I want congratulate you for trying out various techniques. I'm sure you learned some things after a few experiments and tryouts. This work of yours is something to be proud of.
I'm not that good in doing wallpapers with real people (although I already made a few) so its a bit hard for me to give a quite good judging. I know it myself that extracting real people is way harder that extracting anime/manga. But I have to give comments on the overall look of the wallpaper.
I'm impressed because the images you used are high in quality but the Voldemort and Dark Mark are not in a high resolution and totally not suitable for a 1920 x 1200 resolution. Great extracting job. And I admire you for the techniques you used on each image. The Voldemort and Dark Mark are possible candidates for being blurry and noticeable pixels. But because of the techniques and a few experiments, they managed to look great and became suitable for that kind of resolution. Whatever things that should be hidden are really hidden!
Its sad to say that the textures, brushes and filters you used are barely noticeable. But the whole wallpaper itself looks good and very smooth. Though I guess its needs more polishing. The Deathly Hallows edges are a too sharp that the pixels are noticeable (even though the image is originally large) but I don't mind about that. The typography of the wallpaper is alright. But I suggest that you experiment using different fonts and the positioning of the words.
The wallpaper has no concept at all except that its strictly HP. The colors you used are in uniform and they blend very well. You could have used a different picture of Voldemort and placed Dark Mark/Death Hallow somewhere else.
The overall presentation is just right. No emphasis. Just fair.
