I can't find any light novels of saiunkoku either.. but I have watched the anime until thr end (1st and 2nd season)
and I assume that, we need a miracle to make ryuuki and shuurei become together.. though ryuuki loves shuurei so much, but shuurei has a dream that can't be accomplished if she had an affair with ryuuki..
it's sounds bad.. but it's the truth..
I can see that actually shuurei appreciate ryuuki's feeling for her, but it's just not possible for shuurei to be his lover when she still keep her dream in her heart..
well, no matter what happen.. I still love them both, they r just amazing.. I love saiunkoku anime so soo much.. >_L

Yes, the characters and the anime are just amazing! I need to find the light novels, but my research tells me they aren't done yet. Patience is a virtue, I think. Between, I hope they do a season three of the anime. I can't wait to see more of the Hyou clan.

Thank you ^^ and I agree with you, they are a cute couple but their love cant be granted.. in the end they got seperated and couldn't end up together..
I was sad to know that they don't end up together, but I think the ending was so beautiful, it's the best.. ryuuki love shuurei so much, and I think shuurei love him too though she never show it to him..
their love is so cold but so beauty, I love this couple so much, I love the anime, annd I love the character so much.. they are amazing.. dont u agree? ^^

Wonderful, gorgeous wallpaper! I love this couple and the vibrancy surrounded by the colder world seems to reflect how lively their relationship is. Because of Shuurei, Ryuki became a king, and because of Ryuki, Shuurei could accomplish her dream. They better end up together!!!
