At first, my best friend was trying to make me read them. I refused. (I tend to do that when I feel like someone's trying to make me read something, I don't know why because I love to read). I only started reading it because someone gave us a Sorcerer's Stone computer game. I played the game, which hooked me into the actual book series. Actually, I just started playing that game again. (The graphics are terrible and it glitches all the time because it's old, but I am forever in debt to this game for making me read the books.)

I totally know what you mean. Except, I got into Harry Potter rather late in life. I thought the books were dumb when they first came out. I am so glad I made myself read them in high school! I don't know where I'd be otherwise!
Agreed! I swear I cried in the scene where Snape died...Harry Potter is my life! I mean, I started reading it when I was six, so Harry Potter was a huge part of my childhood. I don't know what I'm going to do now that the last movie's out...but I'll tell you one thing. The way Snape says he'll always love Lily, that is the way I will always love Harry Potter.

Yeah, that's why I don't enjoy reading for school that much. I prefer free-reading.

I don't like to read when other people make me read either. It sort of takes the fun out of it.
