Yup, you really did pick a good scan for it. I found it hard working just with this one so I tried to combine the image by finding some other, but unfortunately I wasn't so successful. XD
Still I went with this idea then and I am happy that it came out good. :3

I love this, the idea with the birds is really nice, symbolizes the friendship between these two and love the way they stand out. I picked this scan because I love their traditional clothes.
Ooh, I really like this! The colors look great, and you managed to blend everything quite well. You can never go wrong with bokeh, in any case :D Keep up the great work~
