Thank you. Honestly, once I thought of using Ikki Tousen, I couldn't give it up in favor of anything else. And that picture of Hakufu in the dress (kind of embarrassing to admit) was a major deciding factor in using her. Not for any of the reasons you mentioned, which are all good, valid points, but I just thought she looked really cute. I really had a lot of fun playing with the background as well, needing to subtract things when I realized it was too much. Thanks again, glad you like.
ALthough I never read "Ikki Tousen" or watched the anime version, chosing a character from an anime/manga based on Chinese folklore does match with the Chinese New Year horoscope concept, which is well nodded to. Moreover, the Chinagirl dress Hakufu cutout included in this wallpaper helps the nod to the Chinese New Year horoscope even more.
The background is very decorative, and I'm impressed with the aesthetics.
