Thanks a lot! Yeah it was quite a lot of work to get Balsa cleaned. But I had nothing to do and quite some time on my hands so I was happy doing it :) I'm glad the text worked out, it was just an experiment and didn't know what others would think so it's great to hear your opinion! :D
Finally! Someone does some Moribito stuff around here! This looks great. I love Balsa! She's a tough chick that isn't super-sex-appealed and can still kick a guy's butt. :)
I love the wallpaper, and I love Balsa. The background is gorgous and I love the writing - specifically the cluster of jumbled letters on the right side. If you extracted that whole image using the eraser, my hat goes off to you. I know exactly how dificult that can be.
You're welcome and I don't think you did :3 It actually could be like a kind of replacement for texture because I think if there was background text and then background texture, it might have been a bit too much. But I don't know, I'm more or less just thinking out loud XD
Thank you very much! I hope I didn't went overboard with the text in the background. At first the image was waay to simple and I had to make it more interesting. (and I totally hadn't thought of using a texture, good point!). Yes the text in the background also has the same glow ^^

Whoop! I'm glad you liked it! :D Hmm yes I really haven't thought of using a texture - that's why I went crazy with the text to get make the image more interesting. Yes I used photoshop, I tried getting Balsa with the magnet selection tool but there was not enough contrast so I did it with an eraser at 200%. I think I used an inner glow as well a bit - like 2 pixels or so you'd less notice the mistakes I made when erasing the background. Thanks~!
It looks really really good :D The background looks great and I agree with ItachiSasuke, the blue glow outline was a very good touch ^^ Also, the text in the background I really like as well. I didn't notice it at first, but I think it looks good and fitting ^^ (It also looks like that has a blue/glow outline as well...?)
Oh wow! You did a fabulous job on the crop of Balsa! Geez, now I'm so jelly! XD Do you use Photoshop? :3 I also like the effect of the glowing outline around her, it also helps the viewer to focus on her a bit more.
The background image is really nice in contrast to Balsa, amazing job overall! I knew you had that master wallie creator in ya ;D
Maybe I would have added a texture (for an added effect), but it looks amazing without one as well!
