well im glad it was a understandable and, i guess, relate-able process^^ and really? thats cool, what do you use to make wall papers? i use GIMP obviously XD
Oh, of course that it makes sense! :D Very much so, it was nice to read it because many of my wallpapers are based on the same style and same way of doing them.^^
your very welcome^^ im glad you like it! and of course ill tell you how i did it.
first off, i use GIMP image editor but it shouldn't be too different from photoshop, tool wise.
-first i made a solid dark blue background.
-then i used about 25% opacity with a black airbrush and brushed it around the edges.
-once i was happy with the shading i went into my brushes and i found that cool patern that you see behind the girl. i pretty much stamped one on, it already had that glow-ish look to it.
after that i put the render of the girl on.
and to top it off i put on the butterflies.
those were probably the most complicated to do(i had to do them one at a time).
-first i created a new (transparent) layer and use a butterfly brush i had downloaded. i stamped one on and then rotated the layer a little so it was tilted to the side, (i don't think GIMP allows you to tilt or rotate the brushes XD)
-then i duplicated the layer.
-then i used a Gaussian Blur filter and set it to 20 to blur the top layer of the butterfly, which gives it the appearance that its glowing.
-then i merged all the layers down to one image and re did it with the other two butterflies, making it smaller with each and rotating them in different ways to make a pattern
Aww, this is a very sweet dedication.. Thank you Kanda!^^
I also like how you did this and I must say it has been long time since I saw something from you and this is probably my favorite thing that you made. :D The background and the choice of character really fits the image and it looks so peaceful. :)
Also I got it as a dedication, yush!! >:D
Thanks again and continue being awesome as you are~!
