I'd have to say my favorite shoujos are VK and KWMS. OHSHC is also hilarious and amazing, though.

If you want to watch something though, you should watch Lovely Complex. It's awesome. I know you're picky with shoujo, but I think you might like it.

I dunno. It has mixed opinions. I personally loved it, but I know others who didn't. It really depends on the person. I didn't like the end of it though because it kinda just... stopped. I was hoping she'd end with Len but the end was really stupid. :c
