They do, don't they? Blend modes rule. I dunno how I made walls without them. And thats a good point, if it looks good in the end, it works even if its not what you had planned.
I prefer my desktops dark colors themes to, bright ones hurt the eyes.
And the sparkles and pink does throw the booby less one off, but again it just made its self.

That's alright, silly. I understand that sometimes a wall builds itself. You have one plan in mind and it takes its own road and turns into something completely different. With the blend modes and different effects used, sometimes the brightness just happens. What counts is that it doesn't look bad, it isn't too bright to see and enjoy as a wall, and it all looks very smooth and nice together, right? ^^
Besides, I'm sure it's just my own preference that it may be too bright for a desktop. I'm just used to dark images~
I think you used the right amount. Much more brushes and it would have become rather busy, and perhaps too sparkly. Which is alright, it does fit DMG's character, but I don't think something ridiculously sparkly with twinkles everywhere would have complimented DM all that well. You balanced it just right.

Sorry for how bright it is, it just sorta feel into place like this. But thanks, that truely means a lot to me.
It was hard to make, I haven't used brushes for so long, and that was more the focus I wanted on it. Besides the people of course/

Naw, in all seriousness, I truly like this wall. It is a bit pink, sorta gives it more of a DMG feel versus a feel for the both of them, BUT be it is it's sorta a dark, almost purple-pink, I think it works pretty well. You did great combining the brushes, textures and effects with the render of the two. I really really like this. If it wasn't quite as bright as it is, I would love it as a desktop! 8D

EDIT: And by the way, a wallpaper like this totally does not need text. It would look odd and out of place on this unless placed EXACTLY right. IMO.
