The beehive texture is actually pretty simple if you have photoshop its in the filter gallery. I messed with it by doing multiple layers using different colors.
The manga is called Coda and is about cross dressing and ballet. Its one of the few sports manga I've really enjoyed! ^^

Too bad you didn't win, Tsu. I really really love the work that went into this one, and if I had been deciding yours would definitely had been in the top five.
Sometimes I agree with Wall-iE, and say you don't have enough color to make the coloring into a wallpaper, but this one was just perfect. It still had your style of coloring and enough little accent of further details had been added to take it to wallpaper stage. I love the gentle colors used which seem even more so with the delicate webbing, the beehive texture/brush behind it. The stenciled images act as shadows to the actual manga, colored flowers (they don't overpower the colored work) and coupled with the beautiful wings, really carry the elegant font and message of "summer breeze." Excellent work, Tsu, and definitely one of your best pieces.
Just one question, friend, what manga is it? I am definitely looking into reading it.
