Yeah I when I read this series this picture really invoked emotion for me, so when I wanted to release stress I found it again and went for it.
Haha I'm glad you like the color I took wallie's suggestion of using more vivid colors.

Ooooooh! Haiku! And a really potent one too. I'm really sorry about your bad mood, Tsu, but I LOVE LOVE the wallpaper and the poem that sprouted from it. What a choice for a wallpaper on the potency of words! The coloring in this image is really well mastered. The darkness and dreariness of the landscape is offset but a few highlights and the much more vibrantly colored, broken character. The position of the haiku really fits nicely with the lighting and effects. It offsets the character and fades even as ash fades.
Amazing work, Tsu. Hope you're feeling happier now, and good luck in my challenge!
