That is so sweet! Thank you so much for your kind words and detailed description of what you like about it. It took me quite a while to find a fitting background with it - I kept Mononoke and her wolfs in color quite in the beginning. But it didn't work our so I played around a lot :P

At first this wallpaper looks really simple, but thanks to the links given, I now know it's not. Even if it was, the monochrome(ish) effect really pulls me in. After looking at the links I am really impressed how this mystical art came about. Making the Mononoke scan black and white draws us into the details in the background, the combination of the tree spirits hiding amongst the texture and the outline of the forest god. It reminds me of all the feelings I felt when Ashitaka first enters that magical glade. A very seamlessly fitting tribute to this movie!
