I highly encourage that idea! Just a heads up though it is pure comedy slapstick (which I generally hate but for some reason I absolutely love it in Gintama) and that unlike other series where it takes 20+ episodes for the good guy to fight the bad guy, Gintama can do it in 5 episodes and it is PURE AWESOME.
In other words sit back, relax, dont take it seriously, and enjoy the show ^_^
