Thanks! I really love working on that. Just using multiple image to create something new, different :3 I still want to work on original compositions and better rendering of the image (such as drawing feet if they're missing in original scan xD)
Woah thanks so much for the comment and loads of constructive criticism! I agree with all your points actually. I had a hard time getting the ground/feet properly. I kind of regret a bit of not drawing it myself - instead of trying to fuzz it over with a bit of ground and such. I mainly focused on getting the colors/lighting right in this image. Haha yes! just before I was done I actually realized the size of the people vs bg is incorrect.
Also I wanted to have more diversity in the bg and flowers -- the trees are somewhat identical/copied as well as the flowers. When I started I thought I would integrate more images in the bg to make it diverse, but I ended up not doing so. Difficult to find an image that fits with it.
This is a really nice use of scans; they compliment each other very nicely, so nice job there. The edges of your extraction are a tad jagged and could use a little touch up in certain areas. One of the biggest issue with this wall, for me, though, is the proportions. I understand that proportions can be difficult to create realistically, but the two characters here are a bit too large for the way you've set up the background. Another is that their feet are...missing. I noticed that the original scan looked a little tricky in regards to their feet and fitting it into your vision properly, but people do still need their feet xD
All in all, it's a lovely effort and, despite some of the technical issues, the atmosphere of your wall is really soft and calming. Looking forward to seeing more!
This is so absolutely, really, really, highly BEAUTIFULLLLL!!!! <3333333
I love the blending of the background with the scan, and you have created such a lovely mood!!!!! <33333
Thank you, thank you so much!! I couldn't ask for more!! :)
