Captain Ryu Hijikata and The Super-battleship Andromeda from both Movie 2 and TV Series II of Space Battleship Yamato, which are alternate versions of the saga's 2nd chapter, involving Earth Vs. the comet empire. Hijikata commands the andromeda only in TV series II.

In the english dub called "Star Blazers", he's known as "Capt. Gideon".
