Another dark wallpaper by me. ^^ I guess it's good for a change...to make grungy ones instead of ALL cute/light ones. Anyhoo...it's of Shinku from Rozen Maiden. She looked really, um, spooky in this scan. *laugh* She usually doesn't, but I played off of that and created a dark/spooky-like wallpaper. In the original PNG there are just 2 rose petals floating. I copied them and made them all separate layers so I could give them all the glows and shadows that you see. So, yeah, now there's 7 petals! Anyhoo, then I also altered the original a bit by putting that lens flare (glow) on her fingernail and darkening her eyes. I even made the one on the left look almost cat-like. *nods* Oh, and the bottom of the image was cut off so I had to use the liquify tool to lengthen her dress...yup. Oh, and a glow of course, too, around her. I sorta worked on the bg first before doing all that though...again, I made it a dark grungy type one. I used brushes from aethereality.net (what else? I always use them!), and made several layers, and gave one a glow. I have a layer over-top of Shinku to give her the texture that you see there (more brushwork). Um, then I worked on the "poem". Overall, this took probably 1.5 hours. I hope you like it!! (I sure went in-depth with my description! *laugh*)
