Widescreen version highly recommended, 'cause it's the best.
Since it's still summer holiday, I figured I have enough free time to finish some projects. Most of them are b&w manga scans, so expect a lot of vectoring and/or painting -_-" This is dedicated to Shadows, since I've been postponing the collab for such a long time and I feel bad T_T I PROMISE I'll finish it today and send it to you ASAP! *bows*
This one is from Omamori Himari, a manga about a neko-like spirit protecting a spirit hunter (yeah, this paradox is what most the manga is based on). I'm not too fond of the manga itself or the artwork, since all it does is introduce new girl spirits (which are either big-boobed and naive or lolis). Basically, the plot's poor, in my opinion. I did like this image, with Himari's hair fluttering in the wind, so I saved it for vectoring.
I don't like Himari's original hair color, which is a strong blue, so I made it green ^_^ The background was going to be a regular day one, with white clouds and blue sky, but it contrasted too much with her hair and skin color. Midway, I got bored of vectoring and decided to paint the shadows on her. The sky also looked boring, being only a gradient, so I painted that too, to create the illusion of clouds ^_^
Hope you like it, everyone! Comments, favs and/or hugs are very appreciated and welcome :3 Feed the artist~! XD The artist needs love!
