Alright,I like an idea for the contest Who's got death and I was thinking about Near.I have to come up for a reason so here's mine.

Near is L's successor and possibly role model.So while L is paying to much mind into Light,he wouldn't suspect his number one candidate of becoming his successor to be the murder behind the crimes.So that gives the upperhand at this.Plus Near is like a super genius and he also has connections with L,as L trusts him to become justice.
